Railroads

Since 1998, The L. C. Whitford Co., Inc. has vastly expanded its railroad services and has performed hundreds of projects in at least 21 eastern states. Our projects include everything from simple box culverts and concrete repairs to complete bridge replacements with multiple spans. Many of our projects involve major steel repairs and / or span replacements. LCW has worked on these steel, precast and wooden structures for several Class 1 railroads and short lines.

Our railroad work is especially demanding as it often entails very short construction schedules to minimize railroad downtime. LCW has the experienced personnel and specialized equipment necessary to perform this difficult work in a very short period of time.
