Allegany Bridge - I-86 NY

The twin bridges on Interstate 86 (I-86) over the town of Allegany, New York serve as another example of The L.C. Whitford Company's transportation and bridge expertise. Ultimately becoming the second largest bridges in the Southern Tier, the 2000-foot long structures required 150 truckloads of steel girders and more than 10,000 cubic yards of concrete.

This project is a significant project because it was the last link in the New York's Southern Tier Expressway before it became known as I-86. It was also completed ahead of schedule and at a cost below the engineers' estimate.
